The Evil Dead

According to the news from Bleedingcool, Evil Dead trilogy director Sam Raimi revealed that he has a plan for Evil Dead 4. Right now he is busy doing press on his new movie Oz the Great and Powerful in London. During his Meet the Filmmakers event with Zach Braff and, he said the following words:

“I would love to make Evil Dead 4. My brother and I plan to work on the script this summer.”

The brother in the quote is Ivan Raimi who collaborated with Sam on the screenplays for Drag Me to Hell, Army of Darkness and Darkman.

This is a terrific news for all Evil Dead fans. 11 years after the release of Army of Drakness, the father of the classic Evil Dead franchise is planning to do another one!

However, this will not be the only Evil Dead project this year, Fede Alvarez’s reboot movie Evil Dead is coming soon in April. It will be a great year for the die-hard fans of this series since there will be two ongoing Evil Dead series, apparently running in parallel.
